Why HUBUY?
We believe wholeheartedly that Harding University is the best school in the world. No other place has the same tradition of mission and purpose for His kingdom.
Because we think so highly of HU, we want to do everything possible to help students make it. Harding ain't cheap, but we believe that HUBuy can save every student hundreds of dollars off textbook prices, over the course of their Harding career.
Why not another school?
In the future, we hope to see a similar website at all colleges. The problem of high textbook prices is not unique to Harding.
I'm on financial aid. Why do I have to buy my books at the Bookstore?
Good news... you DON'T have to buy your books at the Bookstore! When you receive financial aid, it is your responsibility use it wisely. At any time, you can go to the business office and request a check from your financial aid. Now that you have the cash, buy your books somewhere else! Ah freedom, isn't that refreshing?
Why is HUBUY free for students?
HU students are poor (we are/were HU students so we know), so we built this website to help. We will cover our costs through ads, and possibly some local commerce in the future.
Why can't I get cheaper textbooks elsewhere?
Ideally, HUBuy book prices will be less than other online vendors because you don't have to pay shipping. Also, it is more convenient to sell when you don't have to package it up and send it.
But, we recommend that you get the best deal for your books. If you can't find it here, check out Amazon, eBay, or Campusbooks.
Why did you just advertise your competitors?
This sounds altruistic, but its true: we're all about helping you getting a better deal on your books.
